EAI_NODATA
Error message: Connection attempt failed with “EAI_NODATA – No address associated with nodename”.
The above error occured while using Filezilla (Ftp Client), it either means that you do not have an active internet connection, OR it means that you need to clear the private data because the connection to the server was lost while an active FTP connection was still present. Upon reconnection to the server (which is sometimes automatic) you will receive the EAI_NODATA error.
How to clear the Filezilla Private Data:
- Open Filezilla
- Click “Edit”->”Clear private data…”
- Make sure the first 2 checkboxes are selected (“Clear quickconnect history” and “Clear reconnect information”)
- Click “OK”
- Confirm with “OK” if you are already connected to an active FTP server session.

I dont agree with the above. I am getting this error when connecting to one of my ftp site, yet all of the others are fine. Using filezilla and the same pc etc and trying within seconds of each other… cant be net connection.
try this for an ftp client http://www.smartftp.com/
